Were you due for a renewal, or was it a mid-term cancellation?

Yes, we received a notification of intent to cancel. Probably doing us a favor, as we know folks who've had bad experiences with them.

Just remember that cost of a home insurance policy is only one factor to consider before making a purchase............. having the ability to pay in a disaster situation is another. Just ask homeowners who were/stll are effected by SANDY who had homeowners insurance but have either NO or minimal payment in hand.

Due for a renewal after 3 years.

She was very good, even sent me an email reminder to cancel my old auto policy a few days before the new policy was to take effect so I didn't waste any money.

Tell her Jeff, (previously) from Arizona referred you. We closed 12/28

Thanks JB! :beer3:

How very strange. We just renewed this month with American Integrity with no problem.

Obviously a number of insurance companies reviewed the total Homeowner exposure in Florida and deceided that it had to be reduced. the governor gave insurance company flexibility. I am with a major insurer and my 2010-11 renewal they wanted $1,000 more so I increased my deductibles and lowered total amount of my coverage. Then for the 2011-12 they increased another $1,000 and then on my recent renewal they informed me if I wanted full sink hole coverage it would cost an additional $200.

Is it actuarially justified???????? However insurer's have the tendency to either get the increases they want or leave the state. And we have all witnessed the failures of state governments sponsoring insurance programs. Just ask new jersey or look at citizens...its well over exposed

Allstate

We went with Allstate for everything but Homeowners. We used St John's Ins thru Allstate for HO. After the 1st year St John's cancelled the sink hole coverage. Just changed everything to AAA. Got sink hole coverage and saved about $400 for the year.:BigApplause:
