We came down in October and put money down on a lot in St. James also. This weekend we have a real estate agent coming to take pictures and put our home on the market. My stomach is in a knot and my emotions change daily! I love the idea of living in The Villages, but I hate putting this distance between us and our kids and our 2 Granddaughters. Life is short and we love The Villages lifestyle, so its our turn to do what we want. We are coming down the end of March to make our selections, we will be living on Yankee Clipper Run.

We also are separated from our children. We told them we'd pay for flights whenever they came to visit. Expensive but worth it. They LOVE TV and Florida and are so happy we moved here!

Good luck to all of you on your upcoming moves! Iowa Hawkeye...glad another Iowan will be there when we finally arrive! Where in Iowa are you?
When we move, we'll be farther from our son in Cincinnati, but closer to our daughters who are both in Raleigh, NC. Can't wait for life in paradise!

We finally made the decision. Will be at the Villages in March to buy. Then coming back to Louisiana and put house on market priced to sell (hopefully) and retire July 1st.
