////The last sofa we bought was made in the Carolinas. SAme with the mohawk carpet. Look around, it all does not have to be made by slave labor overseas.

I am not a fan of CF; however, there must be a fool born every moment because I see their trucks (always 2 at a time) running all over TV.

City furniture is Horrible. Stay away. Incompetent and willing to lie to your face. They do not stand behind the product and refuse to refund when product is faulty. Be warned. You cannot make a worse choice.

Most people have a good experince with City Furniture, and have no reason to post here. Who posts here? The few that have had a "bad" experince and need to vent their frustration, and try to make it sound like a universal epidemic. If City Furniture was that bad, they would have been out of buisness long, long ago. They have plenty of competition to deal with. You can't make everybody happy. We've made a couple of purchases from them any everything was just fine.

We went to City Furniture last week looking for an entertainment unit and instead fell in love with a sofa/love seat combo. However, we didn't love the two colors on display. We asked if other colors were available and were told no. We asked about the delivery options and were told that free delivery was to the garage or overhang to protect from weather and that delivery and setup inside the house was an additional 10% of the purchase price. Also, they wouldn't haul away the old furniture.

Then after reading about Kent Furniture in Bellevue here on TOTV, we decided to check them out. We asked if they carried the same sofa, etc as City and they did. The price tag showed almost twice as much as City but then the sales person said they price match, free delivery and setup and they will remove the old furniture. Then he brought out the fabric samples with at least 50 different colors and materials to choose from. He told us we could bring the samples home if we want.

All in all, shopping at Kent turned into a great experience. No pressure, we were able to take our time, we found exactly what we wanted and we felt like we got a good deal. And the furniture we selected is made in the USA.

Posters have said City Furniture is crap, yet you found the same thing at Kent. Had you not known the price at City Furniture, would Kent have sold you the furniture at double what it was worth? BTW, City Furnitures delivery includes unpacking and set up INSIDE the house.
And finally, if City Furniture sells crap from Vietnam, how was the same thing at Kent made in the USA???

I understand bad experiences can happen, but these forums seem to attract chronic complainers! IMHO

I too had a very good experience recently with City Furniture. They do a ton of business in the Villages and it is unfortunate that only negatives are posted here for the most part

City's paid delivery certainly includes unpacking and setup, it's the "free" delivery they advertise sometimes that will only arrive at your door, but no further.

We recently bought a sectional there. OK experience so far, but it's only been a month.

Had very good experience with City Furniture, it is hard for me to understand why the moderators of this forum allow posts that say their merchandise is crap, when that particular poster cites no specific personal experience!
