Default Potholes

There are nothing but potholes on 466A from Buena Vista to Colony and on Buena Vista from 466A to Eisenhower.

Someone is either going to swerve to miss one and cause an accident or hit one and ruin a tire/wheel.

I believe the county, not The Villages is responsible to maintain the roads. Why is this not being fixed?

Agree. Have noticed quite a few that appeared around TV after the rains. And so many areas that have always had small patches, no doubt to cover 'potholes'. Esp Morse south of 466 to 466a. One would think that our roads here would not succumb to this since there is no freeze/thaw. Perhaps bad asphalt mix or application when built?

Potholes are a hazard but you ain’t seen nothing until you come to Rhode Island. What we deal with here is a disgrace. Meanwhile we can’t wait to get to TV in a week.

There was paving truck filling them in several days ago, on 466A headed east. I'm thinking the last two days of heavy rain has paused their operations. Call the County if you are that concerned.

Yesterday, I drove from Pinellas Pl down 466A to Walmart and you're right, lots of pot holes. Some of them pretty deep.

After they're patched, cars drive over them and pull the asphalt out. The repair isn't given enough time to cure..

A man told me his brother did road repair in NY and to make sure there would always have a job, on the last day of a large asphalt repair the workers would clean the shovels and rakes with kerosene and make sure to spill some on the new road surface. Ergo in a few months a future pothole. Could be what’s going on here.

They have started to fill them but they’re still rough as ever. No excuse for it. That overlay is only about 1” thick; it all needs to be milled off and resurfaced smooth.

Think of them as hazards on the Grande Villages Golf Course! It's all part of the fun of being a Villager, right?

Could it be Jazuela is trying to “tickle us”? However, the potholes are obviously a reality. Roads have deteriorated faster than the county projected and likely because they are carrying more traffic than originally projected because of the growth. Just my opinion...

Remember the Counties have a lot of roads to cover and the size of the pot hole crew probably does not change a lot during the year.

They should fill them in after they pull the plants
