Great news.....good for you. One word of caution having closed on a house last month, selling the house for us was the easy part, closing was another story, remember they are 2 seperate and distinct events. Stay close to your real estate agent and make sure you are aware of any issues. We had 3 different closing dates, fortunately we had a solvent purchaser who only made it happen because they really wanted our home. I only point this out because these are different times, I wish you the best....GN

Blondie, will you be staying in TV for Christmas and New Years? We are all very excited for you.

Great news Blondie. I am very happy for you. Like F16 we are still hanging tough although I must admit its getting harder. We had a showing today and they stayed all of 6 minutes. The realtor called me afterwards and said that they came in and saw the cats and the wife screamed and ran out the door. Scared of cats it seems. So depressing but one of these days.......I'll be writing in with good news.

OUMA, F16, Keep the faith! Suffered through 6 months on the market last year, won't bore you with the datails. Put the house back on in September and we are now under contract! Prospective buyers are even cat lovers. Fingers crossed their mortgage gets approved and with a little bit of luck we'll be Villagers next year. Gail |
Bare,
I will be spending Christmas here in MD with my family, and then head to TV. :pepper2: I also decided that I didn't want to take my furniture with me, so I advertised it online on Friday AM, and as of now, I only have 2 bakers racks left...everything else is sold and has been removed from my house.....am I loosing my mind...now, I not only have no home, but I have no belongings either. YIKES I must be having a midlife crisis...or a psychotic episode. I am still sending some Irish luck to those of you who are trying to sell your homes. :sigh: Thanks again, for all th good wishes. |
sold everything?
OH NO! Blondie,
No home and no furniture, how lucky can you get??? Alot of us wish we could trade places with you. You done good, real good. LOL:coolsmiley: |
Hi Blondie,
Good for you. I did exactly the same. I sold most all of my furniture and lived with an aerobed and a couple of pieces that my kids wanted and picked up just before I made the move. Even so, I had about 100 boxes filled with my clothes, favorite kitchen stuff, craft/sewing things, linens, pictures, mirrors and do-dads. Congratulations and I can't wait to meet you. KathieI speaks highly of you. For all the other wannabees, be optimistic and keep the faith. If you're willing to sell without making huge profits and sell at today's market price, hang in. It will happen. |
Blondie, I applaud your courage. Selling your home and your furniture at market price can be a heart wrenching experience. However it will enable you to really make a fresh start in TV. You are a practical woman and have a lot of guts. You already have so many friends in TV.
2009 will be the start of a golden time for you. :beer3: |
