My name (pronounced faux pas) comes from being a flight attendant for Pan Am for 21 years, then for Delta for 16, hence FOrmer PAnAm.

Born, and lived my entire life in Baltimore, Md. Althought some would refer to it as "Smaltimore" since you can alway find someone who knows someone that you know...

This was truly fun getting to know everyone a little better. The meaning behind your TV name gives us all an sneak peak inside your life. It's been fun reading all of these posts. :bigbow::BigApplause:

Pilot. Obviously an "old" pilot to be able to remember the name of a 1950s television program of the same name.

rubicon 03-11-2012 03:31 PM

Briefly it is said that the name Rubicon derives from an event which occurred in 49BC wherein Julius Cesar crossing of the Rubico River ( Northern Italy) was viewed as an act of war by the Senate. Hence by crossing the Rubico was considered an irrevocable act , hence a firm commitment .

Being committed speaks to my beliefs in my marriage, in my work life with my friends, etc . My handshake is my bond and I have never gone back on a commitment.

My real-life name is Ed Weissenbach. It is so long that I decided to shorten it for TOTV.

How did you get your screen name

"C" is my first name initial. We lived in France for awhile after retiring; would love to go back and "C" some more.

My first name is Barb and I am originally from Iowa. My husband David is a Purdue engineering grad....so I refer to him as BoilerDave.

I was blessed with 3 children. Rose is my Great Grandmother's name and my middle name after her.

Number 6 03-13-2012 12:21 PM

This is a homage to a '60s British televison called the Prisoner. He was a secret agent who resigned and was kidnapped and taken to a place called, "The Village". No matter what he did he could not escape. He was called "Number 6". Well, you get the point.
"Be seeing you."

I once worked with a guy of Greek descent whose surname had 50 letters.

He shortened it to Pappas

bless you for teaching special education students!

oh, yes, my name is because both my husband and I have "C" for our first initial, we just added on our last name.....not too imaginative, but it's the one we use for cruise critic and the Disboards, too.
