Default How did you find Talk of The Villages?

Today I had the wonderful opportunity to meet our lovely Pturner. We talked about so many things, our lives, our likes, our shared love of The Villages, but I didn't ask her how she came to find this particular web site. ( At least I don't think I did, I was so excited about meeting such a dear woman. Sometimes.....ah, getting old is not for sissies.) I found it, TOTV quite by accident while searching the web and in 2007, joined. Had never heard of it, knew no one else who had. Now I'm here every day and find many others are, too. Would be interested in hearing just how you came to find this community.

Ms. Pt is a wonderful person, I'm thrilled we're friends. I know many of you have met each other and maybe without this message board, the opportunity to meet these new friends might have taken much longer...it is a rather large community and you can only be in so many places at one time....

I've been a member so long, how do you expect my feeble brain to remember how I found this site?

What was the question, again?

I was doing a search for something (not sure what it was) and ran across this site just by accident. Now I tell everyone I meet about it.

When I was researching lower Paradise, I set up "The Villages" in a Google alert. The first day of the 'alert', I got 17 hits, and one of them brought me here. And I'm so glad it did!

I found TTV via a Google search on 'The Villages" while getting more information prior to my first visit ...early last year.

I also found it quite by accident wth a google search one day. When we were down in April at our LSP, I told the Villages sales guy that I had been looking at information on the Villages for may years, probably since about 1995. When I mentioned to him something I had heard on TOTV, he basically said that he had heard of it but acted like he really didn't want to acknowledge it. I found that kind of funny but just let it go.

You've known about TV longer than I have, really never heard of it until hubby talked about visiting the next time we visited our son who lives in Florida. TOTV was completely new to me and so many others. I was the brave one to post.... I lurked for a while, but something sparked my interest and write I did. Glad you're here!

I was searching the web and stumbled upon this great site. I have told many people about it and some of them have become members. I check this site daily to keep up on what is going on since I am still in New York State! Retirement in 3 years, I hope!
