You could burn it down to Ash which would weigh considerably less.

My sectional entertainment center in the living room is 39" wide in the middle where the TV goes. That's just wide enough for a new 43" (diagonal) TV to fit. I realize that a 43" set is not "large" by today's standards, but it will be plenty wide enough for our purposes, especially considering that we have gotten used to watching the old 36" (diagonal) set for so many years.

We have another smaller one-piece entertainment center in the den and the new TV wouldn't fit in it.

Hmmm. I'll keep you in mind if you would be willing to lend it or rent it out cheaply. I've arranged for my Lawn Service guy to come and move it to the curb for me on Monday for the sum of $50. If for some reason he doesn't do it, I might be interested in borrowing or renting yours.

Another option for me would be to build/add some type of stand to my low 4-wheel dolly to raise the height to equal that of the entertainment center. I could certainly do it, but I don't know whether the cost in time and materials would be worth it.

These days, it just seems easier to pay someone cash to get the job done and be done with it rather than spend time building/crafting something that I might never need to use again and would just take up space in my already crowded garage. I think that what I really need is a 2 BR house and a 6 car garage/workshop. I've already got a 3+ car garage and it isn't big enough. :)

I use this as an out feed table on my shopsmith. Occasionally, someone in the neighborhood needs something unloaded. It's good for that.

As I mentioned, my lawn guy is supposed to come and get it tomorrow afternoon, and I've agreed to pay him $50 for doing so. If you can beat that deal and get it today, it's yours. Otherwise, I'll just pay my lawn guy to move it... provided he shows up which I think he will. If he doesn't show up, I'll consider renting your table (if that's what you mean). Thanks.

To the folks who like to break things and put them into the garbage - The glass in CRTs usually have about 15-25% lead oxide which is toxic. Yes, it is part of the glass but any time you break glass, it is possible to create some fine particles which can then land on surfaces around the area where you are working (if not in your lungs). Even if you sweep it up, do you really want that going to a landfill? Please try to find a place that will recycle the glass appropriately.
