The key was obviously put in the wrong box. It could eventually still show up if the person who accidently got it doesn't wear size 8 running shoe. :D

Perhaps look into just who is responsible, the seller doesn't want to replace an item sent or deal with USPS, and USPS doesn't want to deal with any responsibility ether, what does USPS have to show it was delivered to YOU, just in this limited discussion many have had thing never show up yet delivered to the local postal facility , as well as many receiving items not addressed to them, do the details of the sale state the seller has no responsibility after item is shipped?

Best answer.

It was NOT the best answer because it had nothing to do with my situation. It was NOT STOLEN in the USPS system, it was delivered ON TIME. The problem was the key was obviously put in the wrong box. I had NO option on the shipping method either.

Never had a problem with mail or packages coming to our mail “station”.

I've never had a problem with USPS either. I did have Amazon deliver a package to me, that wasn't for me. It was for the people across the street. I had a FEDEX box delivered to me, that wasn't mine. It belonged to someone up the road. I just walked it over to them.

Once, I had ordered some stickers from the Alt National Park Service, and didn't get them. I kept writing to them but they never answered. I got an e-mail saying they'd been sent, but my Informed Delivery never indicated that they'd been delivered. After over a year of nagging them, I finally did get them. But that wasn't the USPS's doing, it was the Park Service, who didn't really understand much about sorting and mailing lists and how all that process works.

I've lived in TV for 6 years in 3 different neighborhoods and I've filed numerous complaints, recieved someone's package, had someone bring mine to me and recieved notices that my package was delivered to my home that wasn't delivered to my home or mailbox. I have security cameras to prove it wasn't delivered. The last 2 times I waited at home all day with my front door open so I wouldn't get a "sorry we missed you" note. Both times the missed delivery note was put in my mailbox. Both items were expensive and required a signature. I went to Lady Lake and spoke to the supervisor. 3 days later they responded to my complaints and gave me my packages. The emails stated employee was running late and needed to get off work on time so that's why she didn't deliver my packages. It didn't explain why she said the failed attempt to deliver was my fault! The supervisor explained that my packages would be sent back to Germany if I wasn't home for the next attempt at delivery. It took 3 weeks for these packages to get here and would've taken months to get them back all because the postal worker didn't have time and said it was my fault. The investigation was closed and the postal worker was not fired or reprimanded as far I can tell. I recently received the wrong package while getting my mail and the postal worker was still there at the station. I knocked on the door and explained I recieved someone's package in my box. He took it and said "you can leave now" in a hurry and shut the door.

I always pay more for delivery if the USPS is the default option. DHL is great for packages from overseas.

Speaking from experience...making a complaint with the Postmaster at the Lady Lake post office will go absolutely nowhere. You will be forgotten/ignored/dismissed quicker than an exhaled breath. If you have a legitimate complaint about mail service, you need to file an online complaint with USPS. You should also document everything. Online complaints go over the head of the local Postmaster, and do get looked into. Your issue may or may not be resolved to your satisfaction, but those complaints do get tied to the Postmaster and his/her contract employees. I certainly agree the "system" we have here in The Villages is not ideal.

Yes, most garage doors in TV are made by Linear and the Chamberlain based MyQ won't work with them. They also probably are not wifi enabled. But there is an alternative. Check on Amazon to learn about Amazon Key. It is fairly simple to add wifi support to your garage door opener. You can even allow trusted friends or relatives (with smart phones) access, if you want to, without needing a standard remote control.

The MyQ system definitely does work with the Linear garage door operators. I have successfully installed MyQ on my Linear door, and those of several friends, and it works perfectly.

Sometimes Amazon uses USPS for the final delivery, I try not to us USPS for the reasons above, happened to me many times. The last time , a nice lady came to my house with my package, said it was in her mail box....

One way to avoid USPS with Amazon is to use Prime and to only buy items that have a one or two day delivery time. I will even pay more for an item if it has a shorter delivery time.

Usps

I have had sporadic problems with USPS in forwarding my mail here. They often returned it to sender. I have issued a complaint to the Postmaster General in Washington twice. He contacted the PO back home telling them to correct the issue. So sending a complaint may help

If you're tracking the package, you can select a pickup from post office .
