On the subject of moving, we have already had several people move out of our neighborhood which is just two years old. Luckily, I was glad to see them go. |

Give me a break. Just because main stream media is showing this doesn't make it right. Oh wait, Danika Patrick does look hot on those old Go Daddy commercials. GO DADDY!
I guess I'm just not used to our current society yet. |

I had always found it puzzling to hear that people have moved two, three and more time within The Villages.
I was also surprised to learn of people who move here and then move back home. There were a number of issues I had with The villages before I moved here and they stayed with me for a period of time. I eventually worked through them because getting emotional about such decisions can be costly. I purchased a home I knew was the right size for us and in an area of The Villages I liked and still like . My focus now is making my home marketable for my kids so that they can sell it or move into it, whatever they choose. Our neighborhood has changed little and the neighbors are friendly caring and not overly intrusive. We selected well by moving to this cul de sac. |

Our second criteria was a home that the children could sell quickly when they carried us out feet first, and that we do have. We are fortunate (he and I) that we are very compatible and basically want what the other wants which really helps in decision making. Life is good! |
there is some turnover to dying, down sizing, upsizing and an occassional gotta go back "homers".
I will guess it is a function of what one initially bought. If a smaller home, many seem to want to upsize. And then I know several who have originally purchased premier or designers who after a few years down sized. We are 10 year in and have no need to change anything. We are in a prmier village and my guess is the turn over for all reasons might be 20-25%.....over 10 years!!!! I read some where that "normal" (?) turn over in planned communities runs about 10% per year. btk |
I will say it again. I think that those that move are in the minority. Because you read about the people that are on TOTV that move up and down you are reading about a limited clientele.
I really that these movers do not really plan ahead. Most of the ones in my area are still here. Z |
