Default How Many Villages of Bridgeports

Properties of The Villages list the following villages of Bridgeport:

1 Village of Bridgeport
2 Village of Bridgeport-Old Mill Landing
3 Village of Bridgeport at Lake Miona
4 Village of Bridgeport at Lake Sumter
5 Village of Bridgeport at Laural Valley
6 Village of Bridgeport at Miona Shores
7 Village of Bridgeport-Creekside Landings

I know where 3, 4, 6 and 7 are. I suspect that #2 will be North of Old Mill Run.

Anyone know where 1 & 5 are located? Maybe future villages?

Default Why the repitious use of the name Bridgeport?

It is confusing for some as most do not qualify by saying Bridgeport at _ _ X _ _.

Too many Bridgeport's for me. I currently reside in Bridgeport, CT.

My impression that it is confusing.

When I move to paradise, I really don't want to be constantly reminded of my previous residence.

O.K.

I spend a lot of time looking at houses in the Bridgeports. (I think this is TV's version of The Hamptons)

There is

Bridgeport at Lake Sumter.( East of Buena Vista)
Bridgeport at Lake Miona. (West of Buena Vista)
Bridgeport at Miona Shores (North of Bridgeport at Lake Miona, West of Buena Vista.

Bridgeport seems to be the name attached to a group of premier villages situated either on or near Lake Miona.

Bridgeport at Laurel Valley could be the future development off 466 east of Buena Vista. There is a turn-off, and I think that there are supposed to be 40-50 homes built there. The Arnold Palmer Legends Laurel Valley course is nearby.

I never knew. Gary apparently has an affinity for the name. Must be something in the water.

There are three Villages of Bridgeport. All Premier villages.

They are;

Bridgeport at Lake Sumter. (You can see it across the lake when you eat outside at the Lighthouse)
Bridgeport at Lake Miona. It is next to Lake Miona rec center off Buena Vista to the WEST. Bridgeport is off of Buena Vista to the EAST.
Then there is Bridgeport at Miona Shores. It is off of Buena Vista, off Rainey Trail, just past the public boat dock.

THREE. I tell you THREE.

The others, ie, Creekside Landing etc. just go by Crieekside Landing. I feel very sure of this.

sigh.
I could be wrong.

I added this just now. Creekside Landings is the rental area. Laurel Valley, isn't that the place where families and workers live with kids?Old Mill Run must be the fancy COTTAGE (with a capital C) area near Lake Sumter. But in common usage, each of those are just Laurel Valley, Creekside Landings without using Bridgeport in front of them.

Why do I get into these things?? I need to get back to The Villages where I have an interesting life!

IMHO, Ms Gracie, you need to get out more! If you look on The Villages website, pre-owned homes, select the drop-down menu of "Select All Villages", it lists all the 'new' Bridgeport areas. And yes, I need to get back 'home' to The Villages too!
