It's not over yet. Today is "Hurricane Day" here in the Villages. Gonna be "just" a tropical storm, but that comes with some damaging winds from gusts, and flash floods.

The radar right now shows The Villages in the clear.

Does anyone have a rain gauge? What were your numbers and your general location?

Hammock @ Fenney, less than 3”.

West side of Marsh Bend: Rain stopped ~9:30am today. Storm total (Wed and Thurs) 2.36".

Coupled with the Tuesday rain we had, I estimate about 6" total for just south of 466A.

Including Tuesday, we measured 5 inches in Amelia.

Garywt 09-29-2022 01:03 PM

They forecasted 13 inches and reported an average of 3.5 inches.

TV “dodged a bullet” this time. Ian’s original projected track was landfall in Tampa Bay. 18 hours (more or less) Ian made a “wobble” to the east which changed everything for those of us in TV and those in the Fort Myers area. This shows how unpredictable Mother Nature tends to be. 3”slightly more or less in LaBelle.

Rain drops keep falling on my head.

A little over 6 inches here, but that includes Tuesday which probably accounted for close to half of that.
