What a lovely post ! I must confess I'm not a FB person, only looked at some pages a few times, don't even have a profile and page and all that, but my point is it brings you joy, golf brings your husband joy, what makes me so curious is WHY people are so nasty (on here, on FB, etc.). If someone says they are not interested in going into pools at this time, another will make some nasty comment, almost a subtle way to make fun of them for "not living". I've seen the same thing on posts about folks who still enjoy going out to lunch and dinner, then others feel compelled to make a nasty comment like on I saw on Facebook page that said " hope you enjoy that dinner with a side of ventilator" ! Can you imagine, a human being, a fellow resident, feeling compelled to write something like that to another retired person here just because they decided not to allow the possibility of a random virus making them ill to keep them from celebrating a birthday as they wished ? Is it the relative anonymity that makes people so judgmental and nasty to others when they are on these on line forums ? BTW, like you, I've been home more and cooking more.... trying more new recipes than I have for some years...LOL ! No place to go, used to love concerts, plays, going to the symphony in Orlando, and yes, TOTV which I have not been on this much for years, but just don't feel compelled to condemn my neighbors for swimming, golfing, biking, or just staying in reading, on computer, and binge TV watching....LOL ! Again, what a great uplifting post, live your life in the way that gives you pleasure:coolsmiley:
