Default Look out tv - here we come - lsv

Posted something similar two other times but had to cancel.

We will be arriving on Saturday, June 1st to meet with our sales rep FIRST thing in the morning.

We have done a lot of research and had a lot of questions answered on this forum - and for that we thank all of you (more to come).

We know we can find it on here but other than the trolley and boat ride, what would you recommend for 5 things we absolutely must see/do while here and 5 good places to eat.

We will be here for 7 nights.

See you at the squares -asking a lot of questions !!!!

You don't mention where you are coming from but if you like NY Style Pizza then you should visit NYPD Pizza on 466. I am from NY and it is the only authentic NY pizza we have found anywhere near TV.

Default Restaurant Recommendations in The Villages

My recommendation for restaurants in TV: Cane Garden Country Club (love their meatloaf), Nancy Lopez Legacy Country Club, City Fire at Lake Sumter Landing or Brownwood, Athens Diner at Spanish Springs (love their breakfasts), Mallory Hill Country Club, Bonifay Country Club, Evans Prairie Country Club, Lighthouse Point at Lake Sumter Landing, Thai Ruby at Lake Sumter Landing, Toojays Deli at Lake Sumter Landing or Spanish Springs and Redsauce at Lake Sumter Landing.

You definitely won't starve in The Villages. Have lots of fun on your LSV!

Drive the golf cart around. People will help you if you get lost -- just pull off to the side of the golf cart path and pull out a map of The Villages. Go to Katie Belles for the entertainment. Ask people questions about The Villages -- most people are very happy to tell you their experiences about living in TV.

If you are a golfer or a wanabee golfer, I would definitely get set-up for a couple rounds of golf and then enjoy one of the country club restaurants afterwards. Remember everything is pretty much casual dress here in Florida and TV. For the best baby back BQ ribs, I would take time to make my way over to Oakwood on 441/27 some evening for ribs. Enjoy!

Think you mentioned one time you played drums. You would want to visit the Beatlemaniacs club at the ODell rec center Friday morning at 10:00.

I would just drive your cart around TV (good way to become familiar navigating TV) I like Cody's, City Fire and the Lighthouse. Talk to everyone you meet, people are friendly and its a great way to find out about anything you might have questions about. Relax by the pools and enjoy.

I agree with the restaurant recommendations but, if you like BBQ, try Sonny's at LSL. If you rent a GC I recommend The Villages Golf Cart store in LSL. They're all good but The LSL store lets you keep it till 9pm on daily rentals. In the GC go in and out of all the different villages and compare homes. Wifey and I found that traveling with the GC looking at the homes was a lot more fun than riding in car.
We're from NY and we tried all the restaurants then went to Haagan Dazz for dessert in LSL.
Best of Luck to you.

Great Idea - thanks Doug. Haven't sat behind my set in a long time but love hearing live bands.

Still have my set - gotta set it up and drive my "new neighbors" crazy !!!!

No, No - we are bringing our "automatic time slower" with us. We want this to last . . .
