Wipers will scratch Windshield...

I was looking to install after-market wipers, until I learned that wipers will "scratch" your plastic windshield and make it more difficult to see at night when not raining. I still may install a hand-operated wiper, to occasional wipe the rain off the windshield. For now I'm just using a RainX type product (from aircraft supplier) to cause the rain to bead-up and run-off.

I know it's a bit of a pain but, with such near-vertical windshields, I've never felt like it was that big of a deal as long as I'm careful and don't speed.

I'm thinking the other feller, who lowers the windshield has one of these.

me too. I understand now that if you buy a new golf cart, you can order a special solid windshield which can handle wipers, but I do love the solid glass windshield on my Tomberlin. And the nice steel roll bars, too! but I don't golf, and I use it as transportation. I think the split windshields on golf carts are for air circulation.
