People who experienced totality said it was a life-changing event. I don't get it.

I blame the Morse family.

As I experienced a cooling effect from this event, they have my blessing to continue to do it again as soon as feasible. :icon_wink:

I find marijuana humor to be about as funny as the smell it leaves . The weak ellipse was the Morse's fault.

Absolutely, although there seems to be a plant that smells just like skunkweed.

It's mostly just media hype. They are not so rare.

When is the next total solar eclipse? - Vox

Did you really think the Morses would let the sun not shine on TV?

Making plans for the next one, 2024, going across Texas, and Dallas/Fort Worth are in the path of totality, and we have relatives there.....going to check and see when we have to make reservations.....

Gracie, loved your initial comment.

They could only wish, or they are afraid of the dark.

I've heard that The Villages will be in 100% totality starting close to 9pm, when one part of the Earth completely blocks out the sun from the other part. And it is safe to look up into the sky during this event.

We were on the patio at Arnold Palmers during TV "peak"....a little cloudy like most afternoons lately. However there was a slight temp drop for that couple of minutes.
