Same thing I've been thinking.

No. The articles will be about how TV residents didn’t heed the call to take warnings from the medical community seriously. I’m with you, Chat.
Yes, we can thank the media for acknowledging the facts now. This is not political. This is our lives.

Looks like large groups of idiots just got the pools shut down. They were ignoring the 10 person per gathering limit. Don't know if the same fat old ladies were involved but the crowds comprised irresponsible, thoughtless, narcissistic folks lacking common sense

Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine and bromine) of pools and hot tubs should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.”"

This doesn't cover if someone sneezes directly on you, or if you touch surfaces that have residual traces of coronavirus... however, as long as the surfaces get splashed with pool water regularly, it will inactivate the virus.

To be clear - it is relatively safe IN the pool... but not if you're sitting on the deck with a big group of folks. And being in the pool is certainly far safer than being in a restaurant, or shopping for groceries.
So correct, but thanks to the large groups ignoring distancing at some pools, was just told all pools will be closed effective tomorrow.

On the unmentionable news site there is a picture of over crowded family pools--this was probably one of the straws that broke the proverable camel's back--what my wife & I saw was an Seabreeze--the photo showed the Churchill family pool filled with guest's small children-one of the worst sources of transmissions

I’m not sure the people of northern Italy will agree with that statement.

There is the start of the problem.....China downplaying the situation until they couldn't anymore. They do not value their citizen's lives so it applies to all. Sad.....

Doomsayers! Is the virus bad? Yes. Is it going to wipe out the population? No. Are people idiots? Yes, but not all idiots are ignoring the warnings, some idiots are spreading the panic.

First I want to thank all the selfish, irresponsible, thoughtless people who created this problem. You caused the vproblem, now we all suffer. Thanks again. Talked to a nice lady who said when she went to one of the pools to explain the problem all she got was a grief. Nice seniors. I do have one problem with the closures. If one two three of the pools are overcrowded close them, not all of them.

Maybe in a week or two, when a lot of visitors are gone--the pools may reopen--the rec dept should supervise & have the authority to restrict access

Wow, a lot of tension here and it's still early in the game. Follow the CDC and state of Florida guidelines, and if you want to go beyond that on your own that's OK.

Then where will the people from the closed pools go--to the ones that are open and again overcrowd those!
