Default No Gun Selling

Realizing that there are few sites that allow advertising guns for sale, how did those of you that may have retired from hunting and moved down here dispose of all your hunting guns and accessories? I'm not looking for a pawn shop but another way to sell this stuff off.

I used Nordic Pawn on 301 in Wildwood. They take consignment sales. I have sold a varmint rifle and a shotgun that way. I now have a Kimber .45 on consignment with them. You have to be realistic with your pricing and leave room for them to make a profit.

thank you Mike. I know exactly where that is on 301. I realize the pricing thing, I want to sell them at a price that is fair to the buyer as well as to me, not looking to get top dollar but don't want wholesale price either. Although they are all great pieces I have no emotional attachment to them. How do they set the asking price on consignment?

You might ask the local pawn shop if they will list on gunbroker. My local pawn shop charged a flat $75 fee. They listed it, took care of the FFL requirements and shipped it.

One advantage of selling it on the internet is your merchandise is presented to a much larger audience.

You tell them how much you will take and they decide if they will take it on consignment.

Join The Villages Straight Shoots and advertise them on their web page. You'll get a better price.

Mike. I took them over this morning and he bought them all, didn't get involved in consignment. Price was very fair he was right in the middle of what I wanted on the high end and what I would accept as a minimum. Very satisfied.

Gave my beautiful Remington Model 760 30-06 to my 18 year old grandson, who promptly shot back-to-back 9 point bucks with it in 2016 and 2017.

I gave most of my guns to my sons for them and for our grandchildren. I too have a 760 30-06 that will end up with one of them. The guns I sold were those that I was not attached to and that the kids didn't want. I gave them 23 pieces including my fathers that were handed down to me many years ago. That should be enough to hold them over for a few years, they are all hunting pieces.
