I came upon the scene shortly after EMS got there. I saw a smaller car just past the gate with the rear end bashed in. I thought that it was the result of a medical condition or someone got confused and hit the accelerator.
I should have gotten a picture.

The only way I see it happening is that a golf cart sped across Pinellas, hit car and pushed it over on its side. Sounds impossible, but…When I was a teen my friend had a low speed impact with a Wonder Bread truck at intersection and his VW Bug knocked it over.

With the vast amount of knowledge in TV, this guess could easily be picked apart. This idea is submitted to offer a look at forces resulting in collisions.

Another example: Golf cart passenger ( not wearing a seat belt)weighing 200 lbs does the same thing going 15 mph. The force created by the passenger to continue in the original direction of travel would be approximately 3000 lbs. Good luck holding to something against that force.

Cause the bug front end slop slide under the bread truck like Jack.

What does this mean?

“ A 93-year-old Villager was hospitalized after overturning her vehicle at an entrance gate.

The Village of Dunedin woman was driving a red 2019 Toyota Avalon at 2:55 p.m. Saturday when she failed to slow down for a 2016 Lincoln MKC which was stopped westbound on Pinellas Place at the Village of Sanibel gate, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The 93-year-old attempted to take evasive action, but lost control of her vehicle, causing it to hit the curb. She drove onto the grass and hit a sign as well as a light pole before overturning, during an attempt to return to the roadway, the report said. She also hit the Lincoln MKC which had been stopped at the gate. That vehicle was driven by a 74-year-old female resident of The Villages. She was not injured.

This diagram from the FHP accident report shows how the accident occurred.

The 93-year-old was transported by ambulance to Ocala Regional Medical Center. She was also ticketed on a charge of careless driving. Her vehicle was towed from the scene.”
And that's the story

Thanks, but this probably won't stop more theories from being posted on the thread.

Too fast!

Hope the occupants of the vehicle are okay!

Because of the slope on front of VW Bug, it went under bread truck and acted as a jack, and turned it over.

Mo has an old key board that gets stuck sometimes, it's not a problem.

Details in this morning's **************.
A 93-year-old woman did not slow down and saw a car at the gate. Swerved, ran up the light pole, overturned, and still hit the waiting car.
No serious injuries ( other than her car) were reported.

She was 93 and about to tear end a catalac and likely panicked and swerved fast and hit the curb but she hit the catalac anyway! What a mess! She should not have been driving at all! Crazy. You

The lamp pole was broken off but the lower three feet of the pole was bent but still upright. I assume the driver hit that light pole and the car rode up on the lower section and turned over because it did not break off. I would assume the driver was going at a fairly high rate of speed.

Looks like my theory was cause of rollover.
