Default Impressive experience at The Villages High School

Went to a class at the Lifelong Learning College this afternoon. For those of you that don't know it is in The Villages High School but isolated to a separate wing. High school was still in session. Like a dummy that I can be I walked into the high school part of the building. I did not get 20 feet before I was greeted by a security guard (or police officer) carrying a gun and a lady carrying a walkie talkie device wanting to know my purpose of being there. They quickly stood in front of me blocking any further progress inward. We established I was going to the Learning Center. They explained their purpose of their duty was to protect the students from strangers. I was treated with the utmost respect not as a criminal or that they were some supreme authority. The lady even escorted me to the proper door for entrance. I felt really good about the way I was treated and their attention to the safety of our young adults. Hats off to these two people doing a great job.

Bravo to the Morse's for looking after there employee's by building them a wonderful school for there children.
Also a second Bravo for the Morse realizing that we live in a time of crazy threats and violence.
Instead we have our great leader trying to take guns away from law biding citizens.
I just wanted to say thank you to the Morse's, we including myself always recognizing when the villages screws up, but this is when Jennifer Parr and Mark Mores and the Morse's family, shines on this one.

Unfortunately or I guess fortunately depending on your viewpoint, this is standard operating procedure in Florida high schools. Our resource officer and one of us administrators are constantly patrolling campus at our school also. Necessary evil these days.

Wish this was the case in all schools.
