Sorry that happened to you...although it makes me wonder if your Admiral parked too close to the line on her side, which contributed to the problem? From the sound of your text, you probably don't want to ask her that question :-)

What to do with cars that park themselves? Commercials illustrate self parking in tight spots obviously due to doors unable to open enough for egress. One commercial shows a lady coming out and smiling while her cars backs itself out of the tight spot. What about the two cars either side of her coming out first.
The other side of this story is growth. Has "The Family" done an adequate job planning ahead? Lack of parking around Colony always seems to be an issue. You won't be able to release the brake and push a self parking car out of the way at Colony Publix. |

I am curious about how close the cart was to the line, and how close the car was to the line. And, who owns the line? As I understand things, and this had to be explained to me when I started coming to TV a decade or so ago, when parking carts, we are supposed to get two carts in the same space, that has been painted in for one automobile. It works fine for the two carts, offset lengthwise, but realistically, the width of two carts in one space by necessity puts each cart very close to the line on its respective side. I'm not sure the cart driver did anything wrong here.
I, personally, prefer to park far enough away from the stores so, hopefully, there will be less parking congestion. I hate door dings on my vehicle. Sometimes the lot is too crowded for this, and/or the parking spots painted too tightly together. I hate that. |

The Admiral parks inside of the line, the cart was over the line--her car cost over a $100K, she makes sure there is plenty of room--also her car has 360 degree surround view for parking

Before moving here I went to the gym on a regular basis and yes, I always looked for a paring spot close to the entrance. Not for convenience, but for safety, because many vehicles are broken into after the driver parks a distance from the front door of the gym. The low life's out there figure they have at least an hour to do their dirty work.

So right John W, I got her a phony key fob, if she ever got car jacked, I told her shut the engine off hand the phony key fob & run--she always has access to a firearm, but its a lot resort to save her life--not stop theft--thats what insurance is for

Bad parking
Maybe next time Admiral could park closer the the right side white line, or at least make sure there is enough room on the driver’s side between her door and the left side white line to get in and out.

to kcrazorbackfan: Just wondering why you suggested “throwing” the bicycles out of the way instead of simply “moving” them?

What are people thinking when they park in an antagonizing manner? They stand to risk damage to their vehicle bc not everyone is feeling their entitlement.
