Gracie, I agree with you about informing our kids.....but things have changed as to what is politically correct.....I cant imagine anyone one in a business atmosphere with women employees having these pics hanging in their business......I would bet John Rohan wouldn't hang them in his office....for fear of a female employee complaining.....these pics are not what i would expect to see in a rec center in TV

Have you seen the pictures or are you offering a comment without any knowledge.

I agree with you I actually do like the signs....and if I had a pool room in my home I would like to have them

And if a teenager thinks those signs at Fish Hawk are acceptable thinking--how does that help form his personality and further society's attempts at treating people well and with respect?

I will give you one guess what kind of people come up with dumb answers. You are perfectly right and no one should have to avoid any rec center that has displayed objectionable material.

And even I hadn't, I still can't imagine taking a petition around the Villages to get them taken down. At the end of the day, this is an adult community.

The nasty message is pretty clear to me.

Much ado about nothing.

How much time have you spent with todays teenagers. My grandson/granddaughter would laugh at something like this. They see and hear much worse at school, social activities, etc.

Go ahead and start your petition. Based on the comments so far, you'll not have many takers.

Do your grandchildren live in the Villages? I would not be pleased to know that my grandchildren found humor in nasty sublime posters. Also it is an absolute that at some point the ownership of this rec center will become the property of the residents. I will offer to be the first to sign your petition.

I'll say.

In the forties, somewhere I saw the pregnant girl statue with the words Kilroy was here. I didn't get it.

I am sure that Tracy Matthews when she ordered these pictures thought...someone is gonna get their knickers in a hitch.

It is very much what you would have seen in a poolroom in the forties.

I am tired of this whole discussion and I am glad I have my family and my friends.

AND that we can CHOOSE who we hang around with.

And I know many are thrilled they don't have to hang out with ME.

If you find this upsetting, I would not turn on the radio , TV or go to the movies.

IF MY ten year old would ask...what does that mean. I would say, When you are fly fishing you have to watch and keep your arm up and your rod up so your hook doesn't catch something or somebody.

And on the other one... I would say that in certain areas of the world bush is the heavy dense thick vegetation areas.

The plaques are funny because they has two meanings.

If they were older I would explain...the other meaning.

I can think of so many worse things I don't want them to see.

I would say to someone "are you kidding" if they told me the pictures actually had two meanings. I am not so naïve to believe the message was placed on the photo for the purpose of explaining how to fish or dense thick vegetation describing bush..

As it turns out. I was expecting something else.:icon_bored:

If grandchildren are "visiting", there are many other rec centers they can go to. As an adult in an adult community, I think they're cool !
