Look at your sprinkler controller box and see how many sprinkler zones are connected. Then no guessing.

My Villa has 3 zones for my grass and 1 for my shrubs. Covers entire perimeter of my Villa. I live in a corner villa with more property than most.

I do have 3 zones. Only #1 was being used. #2 terminations are capped off. #3 terminations are all just cut, but two of them are/were buried. I had to temporarily block the open line(s) to force the water along to the next termination.

Zones 2 and 3 are turned off. The previous residents had numerous potted plants which they watered using a hose. Our plan is to reconnect the zones and replace them with inground plants.

Thanks to all who responded.

I have 2 zones in my courtyard villa even though that the control box has several zones. I’m assuming they use the same box for every house and configure it to the appropriate areas you need

How many zones should I expect to find in a courtyard villa. I have tested 4,5,6 and I get no response.
Our villa has 4 zones on the panel and they only used 3 of them. Number 4 says I can turn it on but it does not control any sprinklers.

I’m from CT where most don’t have sprinklers. I bought a CYV that has 5 zones which is supposedly over kill. Call Ed at Rainy Day Sprinklers. He will give you a lesson and if you decide to hire him, he won’t rob you. He’s from VT.😊

We have a CYV - we have 4 zones in use. No grass. Zone 1 is for the front and zones 2-4 are for the sides and back.

I had 4 in my old designer house, and now have 3 in my patio villa. The box has extra setting in case you have a big yard.

Look at the outside irrigation box. How many valves? That’s how many zones you have. You may have to adjust the heads/nozzles but TLC or Massey or several companies will do it it, for a fee.

Wish I had said that..... oh wait a minute I did. 2 days ago in post number 4. Why don't people read all the posts before replying?

Totally agree. And thanks CW, I did check the control box; 3 valves.
