Considering they were all male and in Bushnell the prison is the likely source for the large jump.

But it is the Colman Federal Correction Facility, 846 NE 54th Terrace, Coleman, FL 33521
Obviously, we don't know how the data being reported is sliced and diced.

Moreover, not all people who have this disease are being reported. Case in point, a couple who are neighbors became sick as dogs after an early March plane trip. They had the EMT's at their house at least two times but were not transported to the hospital. The woman was finally tested. The man was not. I saw the man a bit later in his front yard watering his plants. In our across the street chat (he was wearing neither gloves nor mask), he told me he was feeling better (although he had lost 20 pounds) so the previous day he had walked to the postal station to pick up his mail. Presumably, he did so without face mask or gloves. He had never been tested. The next day I found out from another neighbor that the woman had tested positive for COVID. Here is how the stats would be reported. During their illness, neither of them would have counted as being positive for COVID. Neither would have been reported as sick. As they recuperate, the woman would have been reported as positive. He would not have been. I am sure their situation is not unique. The numbers we see are vastly underreported. Are you ready to go to your postal station without gloves and mask now?

Not giving your neighbor a pass here, but perhaps he believes he is no longer contagious and he has built up immunity? The infectious period is 8-10 days and people are released from isolation after being symptom for 3 days.

Virus testing data a/o Monday 4/20/20

The Daily Sun issued data a/o 4/20/20 on the Corona Virus testing.
In the 3 Counties: Sumter, Lake and Marion 262,495 were tested, 485 positive cases.
That amounts to 0.18%, less than 2/10's of 1%.
But, were is the data on how many of those testing positive required further medical
treatments.
Isn't that the whole reason for testing to determine what further treatment is needed?
What am I missing, maybe the truth???

There is also Sumter State Correctional facility in Bushnell. Given they put those cases in Bushnell, I suspect those cases are from there. There are 2 cases in Coleman.

Cases that have required hospitalization

Cases that required hospitalization for at least some period of time of Apr 20, 2020, 6:30 p.m.

Lake – 54
Marion – 16
Sumter - 34

No, they have tested over 250K in the entire state of Florida, not Sumter, Lake, and Marion Counties.

For the entire state, about 10% of those tested are positive. About 5% of those tested in Lake County are positive, about 5% of those tested in Marion County are positive, and about 10% of those tested in Sumter County are positive.

We have no idea what percentage of the state is positive.

COVID 19 tests aren't only happening at the Polo Grounds. If you have symptoms, your PCP should also test you (I know of a few people who received a test from their PCP).

I follow the COVID 19 results for Sumter County (number of cases and deaths) and cases in The Villages, Sumpter. Cases in The Villages Sumter has only increased by 7 cases in the past week (61 cases on the 13th, 68 cases on the 20th). Deaths in SUMTER COUNTY (includes The Villages but not exclusively The Villages) were 9 deaths on the 13th, 11 deaths on the 20th.

The number of cases in Sumter County in the past week (as of April 20) increased by 40. The number in The Villages Sumter County increased by 7.

It appears that people in The Villages are taking Socially Distancing seriously. Celebrate the positives! I think this is good news.

The original testing was not a random sample, it was designed as a research study where asymptomatic were tested far more than you would expect. Most testing is designed to see if those with symptoms had it.

From University of Florida website:
If they are concerned yet do not have symptoms nor meet standard clinical testing criteria, they will have the opportunity to sign up for a UF research study that enables them to receive testing as part of an epidemiological protocol known as community surveillance. The purpose of the study is to assess the degree of asymptomatic viral shedding at the onset of a COVID-19 outbreak. This is a valuable public health activity to identify people with early disease or asymptomatic shedding of virus.
