I’ve mentioned all the things we have but that keeps getting ignored. My generation doesn’t care about shopping. Brownwood shops are bore city unless I need a sea turtle painting. We have everything we could want only minutes away.
Look at the map of Dabney and Denham now. Houses are going under agreement quickly for January. Northerners don’t sell in winter. I’m betting spring market will see a big increase. One house in my neighborhood in Denham is under agreement for 200K more than it sold for a year ago. Preserve sites here are not a bad investment. They are all sold already.
Apart from that I bought for the lifestyle and retirement. It’s not an investment property for me, so any advice based on future value has little affect on my decision.

YOU don't care about shopping...
YOU don't speak for an entire generation. We're quite close in age. My wife LOVES shopping... (Yay me...)
I guess Eastport will also be "bore city" to you, since they'll have many of the same shops you see in Brownwood...
AFA golf goes, there have been countless threads from your neighbors bashing the developers for not building more courses down Meggison Rd. I explained that there simply wasn't enough land, between the turnpike and the wetlands...
Funny, just the other day, you complained about people bashing the southern villages. Yet, here you are, bashing the northern areas... Funny how that works...
Anyway, I'm glad you're happy where you live.
