Default Keep the faith

I have not posted in quite some time. My wife and I have been coming to the Villages for years and have fallen in love with the weather, style of life and friendliness of the people. In May 2007 we put our home up for sale in New Jersey thinking we would be residents by the fall or early winter at the worst. It has been 3 1/2 years now and we have finally sold our home and expect to be down in late February to look for a new home. I have written this to let all the Villages wannabees whose home has been for sale in this terrible market to keep the faith because good things happen to good people who are patient.
See you all soon

Charlie & Marilyn

Ditto- I'm so glad for you- this housing market is so tough- I know people who had to move and leave their old house empty- no buyers! We'll be putting ours on the market in 2012 and hope the market has improved by then. Your new life awaits you...

When my wife decides to sell the NY home I will be willing to sell it at a l-o-w price much lower than market. Glad Zman sold his house. A shame it took 3 1/2 years.

Congrats and welcome to The Villages. Albeit a longer wait than you expected, it's a wait worth waiting for.

Thank you for sharing this information. I thought I was suffering after one year on market and no bites.

I am soooooooooo happy for you and you'll be soooooooo happy.

Best wishes on your impending move.

Congrats to Charlie and Marilyn! Happy for you and your upcoming lifestyle change!
We will be putting our house on the market come April or so in 2011 and are fearful of what may happen, BUT also remain optimistic.
Where in CT are you, 2BNTV? Let's hope the NEW YR brings us both good luck, as I look out the window at 30MPH winds and a blizzard!
