In the United States, state courts in California, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin have ruled that ladies' night discounts are unlawful gender-based price discrimination under state or local statutes. However, courts in Illinois, Minnesota, and Washington have rejected a variety of challenges to such discounts.

Just ask them to have a laddies' night to even things out.

O please, IMO ladies night where drinks are discounted just another way to take advantage of women at end of the night. Probably only attracts alcoholic’s anyway. See why this would upset some…

As the manager he would get one half price drink then be ignored the rest of the nite.

So the simple solution is to not do away with half price drink days for women but to add a similar day for men. |

The insinuation that ladies night “probably only attracts alcoholics” is a slap in the face to all women. Maybe it’s your age bracket, that you feel women are not not capable of making good life choices, on their own, or a women who enters a bar on ladies night is an “alcoholic”. So sad that some, Men or Women, still think of women this way. |
