Default Lake Miona Fitness Trail??

Anyone used this trail? How long is it and does it have any exercise equipment?

Also would like to know about the Springdale Fitness and Walking Trail. It looks like it is shorter on the newer Villages map (2008) than on the 2004 older one . Does this trail have exercise equipment and which end is it if it has?

I walked about 1.25 miles on the Springdale Fitness and Walking Trail on Christmas but did not have the time nor energy to check out the southern portion of this trail (south of Belle Meade Circle).

Sure were a lot of golf carts going somewhere in a hurry on the Springdale Fitness and Walkinf Trail this Christmas.

Tal,

The Lake Miona 'fitness trail' is a very small wood chip surface loop just below the picnic pavilion area of LM Rec Center. It has some standard balance beam, situp board, etc type of 'equipment' but not much.

Have only seen the Springdale trail from the adjoining golf courses....much longer route, don't know about any equipment; appears to be a shortcut for locals on golf carts going up to Mulberry shopping area.

The Springdale trail has a nice exercise area. It starts with a golf cart parking area at the Belle Meade entrance. A sidewalk loop extends down and back for perhaps a total of a half mile. About every 30-50 yards there is an exercise station consisting of incline benches, pull-up bars, posts etc. There are instructions at each station for novices and vets. If you do all of the exercises vigorously you will get a good workout.

Have fun!

I did see a lot of golf carts really moving over the Springdale Trail enough so that I frequently had to get off the Trail with my pooch while they zipped past at sometimes 22+ m.p.h. It is rather hilly as you know so the golf carts seem to go quite a bit faster on the downhill slopes.

It also was kind of scary on Christmas as some of those golf carts were driven by 12 to 16 year olds who looked like they were on the young side of that age range.

Is this the trail that runs through Lopez? Heading towards Mulberry from Springdale? I did not know it was an exercise path...just thought it was truly a reacreational path for anyone....I do know that on the southern side of Belmeade where the golf cart parking is....you have to park and walk...no golf carts beyond that point.

That may be a safer area to walk and exercise!!

Default Right. The Springdale Fitness Trail is behind Nancy Lopez CC.

The Springdale Fitness Trail is between the Erinn Glenn and Briarwood/Walnut Grove Golf Courses on the south and in the middle of the Ashley Meadows
Golf Course in the north. http://www.golflink.com/golf-courses...course=1760656

It does not look like any Golf Course surrounds it south of Belle Meade Circle.

as described above,
springdale has two trails. one a short fitness trail that starts with golf cart parking and with exercise stations along the short distance
the other section is a longer somewhat hilly walking trail that is now also used by some golf carts . it runs behind nancy lopez. and crosses two nice ponds with a variety of wildlife.
at the end near the springdale pool you'll find "illegal" dog walkers abound. but at most times i've found the mixed use works to everyone's enjoyment.

These two ponds are on Ashley Meadows Golf Course. Just northeast of Nancy Lopez Legacy Country Club.
