You do realize the squares, retail, and all eating establishments are open to the public?

Lakeside Landings is a lovely community, with a gorgeous pool, clubhouse, and resident gym.

What are these "advantages of The Villages" that you refer to? Shopping and entertainment at The Squares? That's open to the public!

Or those with both brains and a different focus. Perhaps one wanted all the things a large community like The Villages brings (shops, dining, services, entertainment) and they cared little about golf, exercise classes, and clubs. They wanted the suburban features while focusing on their own swimming pool (which they could afford by not paying extra to live in The Villages) and time with their grandchildren. Maybe. Just maybe.

But to just flat out call them cheap is snarky and rude.

At least you spelled and used "too" correctly, I will give you that.
