Some years ago, I owned a home in south Florida and had a lanai. At that time I bought a opaque like vinyl that installed like screening and I used it on the lower half of the lanai (below the horizontal brace). It was designed to keep out rain, wind, etc. The upper part remained screening for which I used roll-up bamboo shades down to the horizontal brace. When the shades were down you had almost total privacy. Since it has been years that I owned a home with a lanai I was wondering if this "opaque screen-like material is still being sold. I haven't been to Home Depot since I thought of this..in fact, this thread helped me think back about the matter. Anyone know what I am talking about? On my next visit to Home Depot I will check it out and report back.
