Our yard people destroyed our down spouts.

DIY, like I have always done, and you won't have to worry about someone doing something wrong.

I also do mine, cutting trimming, weeding, landscaping, etc. I take pride in how my home looks both inside and out as many Villagers do. But I also understand that alot of people physically can't do the work anymore. Especially in the summer months. I hope that the numerous landscapers that do right by residents have more business than they can handle (almost)😊

As always the voice of reason !!!!

clearly doesn't want to (or can't) do their lawn. But you proved the point I was trying to make...if you can do the trimming without damaging siding, so should the company who does their lawn.

The physical part I can understand, as I wouldn't want my 90 y/o Mom doing physical work she can't do. What perplexes me is the people that are able to still do the physical work in the yard and, because it may now be below their stature in life, decides to have someone else do it and then ****es and moans all the time about the way it's being done. Sort of reminds me of people who thinks it's below them to sand divots, fix ball marks and rake bunkers; they expect the ambassadors or the golfers following them to do it and then complain about the condition of the courses (other subjects to discuss).

I hear ya. Takes all kinds I guess.

On all the houses here you should have a 8 to 10 inch buffer all the way around the house with preferably rock in it. Number one it keeps the Weedwhacker from getting it. Number two the ants and other critters don't like the mulch our rock as well. Number three it helps with the water drainage. It never fails weed whack vinyl or cords on the side of the house shows up in an inspection report on the home.

I did also, but they blow it out in the grass!

No lawn company should be destroying siding, gutters, etc. Period.
