Pine Ridge has water. Likely means Sumter Co has the problem.

WATER BACK ON!!

The failure of a pump station Sunday afternoon left Villagers without water from County Road 466A down to Brownwood.

Residents at about 3 p.m. began inundating Community Watch with calls complaining about low to no water pressure at their homes. Meanwhile, restaurants and other businesses at Brownwood were forced to turn customers away due to the loss of water pressure.

Crews from Jacobs were dispatched and quickly switched operation to another pump station. By 4 p.m., residents were reporting that water had been restored. Recreation centers that had planned to close their doors, quickly reversed course and decided to stay open.

Villages impacted included Sanibel, Fernandina, Gilchrist, Charlotte, LaBelle and Osceola Hills.

A boil order was not issued.
