Home Price Changing
About an hour ago, I received an alert from my villages app that a price reduction had just been made on a new home in Marsh Bend. Example: 2br 2ba from 187k to 180k. I went to their website and sure enough, not only that home but every new home in that neighborhood had been reduced very significantly. Granted, these homes have been sitting and have power lines and or Turnpike nearby... Anyway I just went back in to check again, and they are all back to regular price. Did any one else see this?

In 2011 when I bought my new masonry CYV it was priced $179K. I called my salesman from Maryland and told him I had sold my home and was ready to buy. He said we have a couple of new CYV's that were just reduced and told me where on the website where to look. As we were looking, the price went to $162K, I told him I was interested in a patio villa, the price then went to $157K and I said, did you do that. He said, did what, I bought the home for $157K.
My next door saw a CYV for $179K and made an offer. Afterwards he saw on the website it had been reduced to $169K, he said he wanted the new price, they said you're under contract for that home for $179K and that's what he paid. Prices change all the time. They say there not negotiable, but homes are constantly discounted. |

Thanks for your input. The weird thing about it was, this all happened within an hour. All of the houses are still on their website, but back at their regular prices.

Studies have been done, showing an actual change in the brain waves of some folks...anytime the word "sale" is used. |

sales folks know their market...and will make adjustments to create demand
car dealers are lowering the cost of cars for Memorial Day weekend hoping to snag as many shoppers as possible... not that big of a leap to understand that real estate folks will also try to leverage discounts to move houses from time to time |
