A "real" sinkhole can pop up anywhere in Florida-----but the chances of damage to your property (I read) are about the same as getting struck by lightning. Fore!

The difference is----and let me say that I am not worried about sink holes----if a reasonable person is in an area where you can get zapped, a reasonable person will seek shelter to minimize the risk.

I just viewed a picture of the sinkhole. It doesn’t appear to be very deep. If this occurred under your home, I don’t think it would cause a fatality.

That made me feel better. Central Florida is only the lightning capital of the world! I think more people are struck by lightning in Florida than anywhere else.
