A few years ago I had the police flash their headlights for me to slow down, it worked, I honestly didn't know I was speeding.

Seems a few are just intent on name calling, and passing judgement of others, than to figure out what was happening..Safety is NOT for sale, and just giving tckts will never solve the situation. We are the cash cow for Sumter county...Must be the end of the month..LOL

Maybe they were speeding to get to the club or restaurant before Happy Hour stopped. Just saying.

Off the subject I know. This afternoon at 3:30 PM policeman on motorcycle giving tickets on Buena Vista near Savannah Center--FYI.

Funny - I have a post about The Village Health Care System if anyone has gone and how they feel about the facility and all I am getting is the pros and cons of this new system and of course lots of good and bad about the Morse family. Can anyone answer the REAL question???

Boys you guys are sure hard on people who think the only reason to drive slower is in case they might get a ticket. Of course, I agree with you completely.

Despite all the questions I raise, and my refusal to treat the developer as some sort of deity, there was really only one solid negative thing we observed there. The majority of drivers, both car and cart, seemed to be driving just about as fast as they possibly could. Every post on TOTV has someone point out we're retired and should just relax.

So, I don't know why people are in such a hurry. And as many have said, it is dangerous.

OK, my theory: Many of you are from large cities in the northeast. Perhaps you never been anywhere that didn't have bumper to bumper gridlock. And you're just trying to close up the space in front of you while you can.

Glad I started a thread that I had hoped could be answered but instead it went waaaay off the beaten path. Go figure

Thanks to those who stayed on the subject of the original post. The incident that I was referring to would have been in the Village of Winifred and I"m pretty sure it was the south end of Kingston Way where we saw a group of officers walking.
