I agree with the original poster. A Lazy River would be sooo freakin' cool! We have our own pool, but to have that kind of river, perhaps with a swim up grotto bar would be outrageous! Just my .02.

Lazy River

There's one already only 1.5 hrs from here, put together by Mother Nature, and prettier than anything done by Disney or Universal. It's called Ichetucknee River State Park. An inner tube rental outside the park is $5 for the duration, or you can bring your own floating device. It's a beautiful, peaceful float. You can stop at about 1 hr, or go longer for about 2 hrs. Get in touch with your inner tube!

... one thing we all agree on ... The Villages needs a Lazy River.

I hope the developers are listening to TOTV!

And you keep the Gators and Snakes out how?? A ridiculous idea. The water is already about 100 degrees in deep Villages pools in the summer..how hot would this thing be? No thanks.

Volcano Bay has a great lazy river. Check it out.

This site is not run by TV developers. I would be shocked to find out they ever look at TOTV.

You might be surprised. I would expect that some member of the Developer's staff, likely in the PR department, monitors all forms of social media, including TOTV, on a regular basis.

I didn’t think there was more to say let alone another thread.

Not only that, but less than a week ago. Who would have thought.

A new place for dogs to do their business...

They don’t own the place. They build, you buy, a governing body (CDD) takes over.

Yeah, I agree, so our Florida Gators have more food. Go Gators 🐊

I should have chosen my words a bit more carefully. They do own quite a bit of the surrounding areas, real estate and golf courses and of course they want to do what they can to make their new homes sell.

In fact if you drive 1 hour to Orlando there are at least five hotel resorts with lazy Rivers, we have been to the Hilton which is fine and the one that we love is the Wyndham timeshare. It's a lovely thing to do if you going to have a mini vacation.

Yeah …. GO BLUE!
