Thank you. Agree 100% I have been yelled at numerous times for not standing for that song. It is NOT our national anthem. I am so tired of hearing it at every event and in the squares. Since when do we measure patriotism by forced allegiance to a pop song. Also tarnished for me by being used as a certain candidates campaign song. The same people telling me what to do and yelling at me are also screaming about "freedom" anytime they disagree with something.

Who exactly forced you to give allegiance regarding this song. The “Black National Anthem” is a Commercially produced song, but not our National Anthem. The US Army Band playing John Phillip Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever”, a Commercially Produced song, is also not our National Anthem. Both of these, and many other “Patriotic” songs may inspire standing, or not. It’s your choice. You also revealed your real dislike for the song with your motivated “certain candidates” statement. The people that yelled at you for not standing are wrong. It’s your choice. For me I will stand and happily recognize Commercially produced songs that I enjoy as Patriotic. My choice.
