You are probably correct - still hoping though - Clermont is not that far away from my village, and I can stock up by just making quarterly visits to Costco - though it would be nice if they were closer, so I could purchase their $4.99 roasted chicken on a weekly basis.

What do Developers do if not develop?

How do they earn money to support themselves, their families, their employees, their contractors/sub-contractors and suppliers?

Walking into a big box store to purchase a $4.99 chicken instead of going into Publix has always been high on my list of things to do

Because ≈10,000 people are retiring every day.

Roughly 100 a week buy here.

Hopefully, but TV will turn into a northern suburb of Orlando. Will never happen, but a nearer airport would be great.

I do not think that is correct. Target is owned by Dayton, the old Dayton-Hudson Company. Costco is owned by Costco Companies, which was a merger between old big-box discounters Price Club (formerly Pace) and Costco.

Now, what you are probably referring to is that they are both invested in by a few of the same investment firms. Blackrock Fund Advisors, the Fidelity 500 Index and Vanguard are both big share holders (holding some 14 Million shares of Target and 13 Billion shares of Costco.

It will never stop as long as Wildwood and Leesburg keep selling off their land and changing their zoning to allow housing development. They want the taxes and revenue! Can’t really blame the developers, that’s what they do. We need a two year moratorium on building so infrastructure can catch up.

It's not just the developer.

What do you propose to replace the incremental two billion in taxable property per year and lost the jobs of thousands of construction workers lost during that moratorium?

If you really want to be near a Costco, wait a few years and you can buy into a new TV village that will be built in near proximity to one of the Costco stores already built.

The way it’s going The Villages might hit Claremont right around the time their Costco is being completed.

Fresh Market chicken is better than Costco.

The Villages already owns enough land to grow to close to 500,000 residents. We will continue to grow for a long time to come.
