Our entire viilage is active and our neighborhood is very very active. It is not a surprise that the same neighbors are also active at the village level.

Believe me....having nothing to do is kinda nice.

The "committee" in our new village of 53 homes puts the board of directors at GM to shame. We have something going on from dawn to dusk and a web site.

I will be kinda glad when this calms down a bit.

But they are just excited and happy and want us to be ....active..

To me....retire means....rest every once in awhile. AND LAUGH a lot and not have too many things scheduled.

Oh shoot, some of them read this.

Thanks girls!:pepper2:

Our Village is too big to accommodate all the households so we decided to limit the group to 70 households in our immediate neighborhood. Of course not all households are participating but we have something going on practically every week. Every other week we have a garage party and last Friday, we held it at our garage. I think there were at least 30 couples joined the party. There will be another one in two weeks already set. We have a men's golf where we have close to 30 members and many attend every week. Monthly couple's golf was yesterday and there were 18 couples, many of the ladies played mainly for the drinks and dinner which followed. Our monthly pot luck is next week. Last month was the casino night. We have a small bridge and mahjong group going but shortly ladies golf will be starting with about a dozen members. We also started a ROMEO luncheon(that's for Retired Old Men Eating Out) with about 20 members. To top that, we have an official neighborhood blue polo shirt with neighborhood emblem on the left and first
name on the right. We do have a great neighborhood and when one of our neighbors lost a partner recently, the children were surprised how many of the
neighbors attended. If you want to join us, one house came on the market
recently.:coolsmiley:
