Many of the people in the Villages come from a part of the country where it is not necessary to lock everything up. I lived in Maine for several years and people never locked their house or car. I find it sad that some people have not experienced a peaceful crime free life.

I was at the Chinese Rest. in Colony a few weeks ago, I came out, got in my car only to realize that the seat was too far back. Then I realized it was not my car. Same make, same color, but not mine. Mine was next to the one I got in, and I waited until the person came out of the restaurant and told her. She forgot to lock it. Shame on her, and stupid me. Senior moment, but I could have been a bad guy. Lock it and don't leave anything valuable on the seats or showing.

Just a thought ... Don't your cars have remote access to your garage? If your car is unlocked someone could enter your garage and possibly your home.

Same from Massachusetts.

If you yourself are free and innocent then ever lock anything away.
I have lived with open doors and windows for 80 years.

Growing up in the country, not only did we never lock the house or cars, we used to leave the keys in the ignition. Moved away and not so much anymore.

LOL!

I have a master lockbox, same as real estate people use (outside somewhat hidden) with keys in it. Good for when I have family come when I am not home, or if I don’t have my keys.

You do know it license, insurance and registration so not sure if they don’t all line up “how is having it or not having help?” I was always told not to have it because if the steal your car they now have your car and your home address. But on the other hand my daughter runs to the store for me in my car gets stops and now she has no registration.......can’t win for losing.......🤣😂🤣
