Must be getting old - I'm sure I'd have loved both ten years ago :-)

"Hideous" is a good word for it.

As for liking it when you were younger? I'm not sure how old you are now, but I grew out of the clown cars & carnival decorations, when I was 15-16.

It's like some of the automobiles & motorcycles in The Villages and everywhere else. I'm not sure who ever came up with the theory that "loud exhausts" make you "cool". All they really say are: "look at me, trying to be cool/young/obnoxious" (take your pick).

The LED lights are awful and especially on the front of your house. They are super bright, distracting and cheapens the neighborhood. These really need to be outlawed!!

We have a home in our village that has these in the eaves. They are on every night. The owner has them set to burn very dim and this subtle effect is actually nice. I'm saying this as someone who hates tacky things.

Many would disagree as to what's "tacky".

I agree. Wind chimes and barking dogs are noise pollution. Lights are not.

Agree, but don't forget what's been getting worse over the years for noise pollution that nobody seems recognize or ignore.
That's loud cars/cycles driving down our streets and highways 24 hrs. a day that are so loud it rattles our windows.

These people refuse to except the fact they are violating peoples privacy through
noise pollution.

A lot of houses down south are installing the led lights that change color. Beware though that many of these lights you can buy on Amazon like a 200 light pack with remote control, the lights are made overseas and can go out or stop functioning after a few months. A return to Amazon can sometimes get your money back if you are a regular Amazon customer. The pain of removing the lights with stickum pads is messy too. If the lights are legal, I would suggest going with a company that has a 3 year or more warranty for lights going out.

How long have you had your lights?

Just wondering if your LED lights are all working and how long you have had them?
I installed some LED lights 200 lights from overseas. They lasted 3 months and eventually most of the lights stopped working.
Returned the lights. Wondering if there is a company that sells reliable led lights?
I preferred the blue violet lights at low settings only among all the colors. I think they can look classy at a low light setting.

Carnival is one of the few who agree.

This is probably the first time I've seen "classy" and "blue-violet LED" in the same sentence.

I don’t know what liquid lights are?

Led strip lighting

I’ve not seen them in my area but if ARB say they are ok, that the way it is.

There is a house at the end of my street that is trying to make contact with the Mother Ship!

I learned 65 plus years I can’t control what other people do or don’t do. So, I keep my nose in my own business. If I don’t like something I don’t look at or look other way. Life much easier and at my old age I don’t have high blood pressure…… yet.
