Try the Cove in Inverness. It has great Wings (Debbie's Wings). I don't know if they have entertainment though.

Sounds like The Villages isn't quite your cup of tea. Not being sarcastic, but it's not everyone's ideal lifestyle. Suggest you check out Ft. Lauderdale or Miami.

Full service please as I enjoy a good Bourbon.
The only way I can describe what I'm looking for is this... if Dean Martin walked in and liked what he saw. We'll that's the kind of place I'm looking for. I'd be willing to drive a few hours if need be. I'd just like a fun place to unwind and enjoy.
Thanks in advance. = )

TV has a lot of nice places to go and to live. Just wanting a place to sit, mind my own business and relax. Sad to say but a gents club is the closest thing and although the women's dress code is pleasant... being fully clothed is plenty fine as well.
Been to Ft Laud and Miami 5 or 6 years ago. I hope I never see either place again. City life is not my style.

davem4616 10-02-2021 07:48 PM

Orlando has a pretty good nightlife ...but then you've got a hour drive home

THUNDERCHIEF 10-02-2021 11:14 PM

Drive down to MIAMI AND HANG OUT. IN FACT MAYBE YOU SHOULD MOVE THERE AND FIND SOME SLEAZY PLACES TO HANG OUT

Luggage 10-03-2021 04:57 AM

I enjoyed sips over the years, and had a few nice tables outside on a sidewalk and the nice small dancing floor inside with usually a singer and a piano player

Luggage 10-03-2021 04:58 AM

Why so nasty?

This person asked the legitimate question and you're just being nasty, did you get up on the wrong side of the bed today?

Sounds like you may have found a niche to fill.

The original concept of TV was a retirement community back in the days when people retired around the age of 65 or 70. Things and times have changed, people no longer have to live where they work and this is bringing younger people to great areas to live such as The Villages.

I agree we need something other than the run of the mill eating and drinking places available here. I know there is a private restaurant in SLS, what about an enterprising person opening a private members only bar in SS or SLS. Membership would be sold out in a week.

After giving it some more thought, there has to be places around here somewhere where the wealthy Floridians go. If you ever saw the photos of the people who attended the Cattlemans Ball which used to be held here every year, then you would know they are not spending their evenings in TV.

Was it advertised as a 55+ community back then? If so, that would be it's original concept... There were (and still area) plenty of people retiring at that age...

Is Goblins Market a bar? We always eat there and love it, food is excellent. But, I had no idea it was an evening place.

wouldn’t look sleazy but I smoke at least one joint a day at 82 usually accompanied by Miles and Coltrane and have been smoking off and on my whole life and never smoked cigarettes. I’m healthy, no meds and exercise everyday , you should try it you might like it . There is some nightlife in Ocala , I like to go to Harry’s sometimes they have great food and there are bunch of bars with different music and lots of people on the streets , yes many are younger but I’ve never seen any trouble , Ocala downtown during Christmas season is wonderfully lit up and it’s a short drive with many places to park behind many of the buildings, it’s not Miami nor Orlando but it is a little diversion from the villages and fun on weekends but after 9pm lol yes I spelled short wrong but couldn’t correct it lol

St. Pete Beach is full of good bars for every age group. One right on the beach. Make sure that red tide is NOT present or that you know that it does not bother you. It is further than Daytona. Personally, I would not drive as far as even Daytona just to TRY and find a perfect bar. A bar is what YOU make of it and who you are lucky enough to share it with. IMO.

W O W ! Great galloping galaxies Batman, I think I have just found a new second home! Now, if I can ONLY get my wife to leave town for a few days or weeks.

I guess living in Vegas spoiled me. A lot of great casino bars many tourists didn't now about. Quiet n classy. The newer casinos just aren't the same since the mob lost control and Wynn turned it into Disneyland.

That is pretty good "rocking" health at 82. That's about my IQ, also. Must be a coincidence. Happy highs!

Remember the movie "Leaving Las Vegas"? Maybe that's what happened to the Mafia?

Good advice from a lifestyle instructor. I will IMMEDIATELY plant some seeds n the backyard, jog to the liqueur store, and buy a couple of gallons of vodka. I will be ROCKING by next week (if I live through it)! I wonder if liqueur is a French word - I just noticed - must have lived a sheltered life, born before keyboards (BK).
Maybe the reason for the 2 U's is that if you drink too much - you end up walking and driving in U-turns? Just saying.

charlieo1126@gmail.com 10-03-2021 03:25 PM

Everything in moderation except the 11 hours of football I’m watching now ( I love my NFL ticket) and my bookie at least today I do and spending most of 40 years in third world hot spots straight vodka or gin was healthier then most of the water and during the many years in Africa the British would tell you gin kept the tropical diseases away until it didn’t lol

Years ago we used to have The Cattle Baron in Spanish Springs. It had a lovely dining room and a lounge where you can have a drink and enjoy the evening.
