If I had garage to garage 55 gasser with blown hemi with fender well headers I’d buy one. Nothing sweeter than blown hemi on startup out fender well header’s. Zommie’s little too radical for street. Yes, hearing blown gasser saves lives.

I need on of these to roll down my street at 7am to get tires warmed up.

"They sound great" is just your opinion. Actually, I kind of like it, too. But not at 6am roaring by leaving my wife and I clutching the the ceiling fan in our bedroom.

Why do so many teenage senior citizens have to have loud mufflers on their cars? My neighbor wakes me up at 6:05 every morning. It seems that whenever I am enjoying a meal outdoors someone has to drive by and almost break my eardrums. It would be just as easy for them to hang a sign on their rear bumper saying “I am a jerk”

On a motorcycle loud pipes save lives.

No excuse on a car. They like the attention.

I moved from a farming community where everyone went to work before the sun most days. I had to adjust my sleep schedule cause there's no way I'm complaining about someone going to work.

On the flip side, if I went to work every morning at 6am I wouldn't have a loud vehicle OR I would move out of a place where people live five feet apart. But not everyone was raised right

I would agree. 9 out of 10 loud vehicles are trucks.

Which by-the-way, states loud after-market exhaust is illegal, on any motor vehicle on national highways.

For years tree/bunny huggers have been reminding the public about water pollution, air pollution, space pollution,
but no one talks about NOISE pollution until your windows fallout from the cycle or modify ventage car going by.

Where I come from, the saying was "The louder the bike, the shorter the penls." :loco: :pepper2::clap2:

It was allowed when geeks brought Harley’s thinking they was cool finely in in charge. Rules have changed since 1965.

Ahhh ... only people who drive loud cars are looking for attention.

That explains it.

Sensory issues - These are often under reported and under recognised as being a symptom of dementia. People may experience issues with depth perception and spatial awareness, sensitivity to noise, or notice changes to taste and smell.

I had sensitivity to LOUD sounds at age 25 and I certainly had no dementia then. Many sound experts say that loud noises can be tiring to everyone, Although many will say that it doesn't affect them. As a child I had many ear infections and that could explain my sensitivity. When the local firetrucks turn on their sirens close to me and other people, I notice that I will cover my ears and they will NOT. Musicians playing loud music are notorious for having ear damage. Same for people working around large aircraft engines and also loud factories.

That's ridiculous. Both Corvettes and Harley-Davidson meet DOT requirements when the come off the assembly line. You can barely hear them from 10' away on start up.

The science has disproven the theory that "loud pipes saves lives", over & over & over again.

It's a cute sound bite, for riders that think they're cool and don't care about the noise impact to others.

A New Study Confirms 'Loud Pipes Save Lives' Is a Safety Myth

Here in The Villages, the commercial lawn mowers are often louder than the motorcycle, cars, and trucks. I can get annoyed by lawnmowers 2 and 3 houses down from me. I will turn up my TV or music to block it out. A really aware residential area would FORCE the use of electrical commercial lawn mowers. I don't expect that here in my lifetime.

Electric cars, carts and mowers are killing the atmosphere!

You don't like the sound my bike makes? I don't like the sound your yapping little ankle-biter dog makes. Turn down your hearing aids!

This is like, "your wrong (loud dog) is worse than my wrong (loud motorcycle)". Flawed logic - because BOTH are wrong.
