I hear more and more of instances lkie I decribed and It make me so sad to see this change when one resident would verbally assault another resident in such a vulgar way. What was such a wonderful place to live is no more.. My wish is that that moron who nearly hit me, reads this post.

Excellent advice, best suggestion posted. Road rage incidents are real. Every action will usually get at least an equal and opposite reaction as certainly happened here. The name calling, threats, and such has really gotten comical on this thread especially since on one knows who it was on the cart. Not one person old enough to reside here in the Villages is apt to listen to anyone pretty much about anything. Not the first complaint OP has had while riding his bike along these lines so please be careful. Not saying it didn't really happen exactly as stated but all the posting very likely will not change a thing and it will happen again, but it is entertaining..

I todays world, I would not recommend yelling at anyone on the road. You never know what kind of nut you are dealing with or what weapon they may have. You will not correct their behavior anyways and will only escalate the situation. Better to just let it go and not let it ruin your day.

Apparently you and the OP misunderstood. The entertaining part is not what happened but how many people actually called the cart driver a jerk, an idiot, a moron, a fool, and even threatened him and seem to think that is a good thing even though no one even knows who he was. We haven't heard his account and no doubt he thought he did nothing wrong. Anytime you yell at someone in these times you are likely going to get an unpleasant reaction which is what happened here. I would suggest just being really careful and know the world is a more violent place most everywhere than it was 10 years ago. People showing guns over parking spaces would never have happened years ago but it does today,even here, as mentioned on another seat saving thread. I also certainly would not be yelling at anyone unless ready for a confrontation. Just let it go and live to ride another day....
