Default Lifestyle Preview - Activities

We signed up for a Lifestyle Preview and will be staying 6 nights. We plan to rent a golf cart and want to check out the "lifestyle". Can you participate in any/all of the activities? I assume that you can play as much golf as you want, but I am thinking more of the the various clubs and special interest groups, e.g., my wife is into woodworking and has taken woodworking classes. Would she be able to participate in any woodworking activities?

Also, any suggestions re what activities we should do and/or check out would be appreciated so we can get a good feel for the "lifestyle".

Thanks!

John

I would also like to know if there are fees involved with the activities, assuming you can attend as a "visitor".

During the period of your lifestyle preview, you will be given Villages ID cards which will get you into all the locations. I don't know how the wood working group handle visitors but I know my sister was visiting and they let her come in and take some photos.

As long as you have your temporary ID with you, you can visit any ongoing activity, go to the pools, play shuffleboard, bocci, etc. You can even get into Katie Belle's which is a Village resident only club.

Hope you have a blast. I have friends who just completed the preview and fell in love with the place, as expected. I am sure you will as well.

There is no place like this place anywhere.....so THIS MUST BE THE PLACE!!!

Don't plan on watching any television or doing much else. Forget taking a nap no time. Every night when we got home we were dead. Watched the news and went to bed. Fran is correct your ID will get you into everything just like a resident. Go into the rec centers look around, play billiards, swim in the pools, enjoy. The Villages staff are friendly and will assist with anything. Being new to the villages we are still asking how to do this and that. The great thing about TV is everyone has been through what you are about to go through, they know and will assist you with a smile. Get a recreation schedule and visit some of the meetings. We visited the woodworking shop and they welcomed us with open arms. They also asked my wife to come in. They did give us a tour, but due to safety concerns they do not let you use the equipment until you complete a safety program and have been checked out on the various tools. This takes some time to complete. Have a great time and welcome to TV
