The Villages is a city of more Than 100,000 people, mostly good and courteous, some angry, some rude, some larcenous, some alcoholic, some sick, some stupid, just like most towns that size, only more good and courteous in my opinion.

I want to ask if any of you that have replied have never had your conversation with a store associate interrupted by someone when you were in the middle of a conversation with the associate.

Personally , I think that it is rude and I will sometimes say to the interrupter to wait your turn.

It often takes a while to get someone to wait on you and I want their undivided attention.

So WAIT YOUR TURN.

I do not care where you are from.

Or wear a helmet.
I find if I am wearing an Eagles football helmet while shopping they get me out of the store pretty quickly.

I'll have to try that, but it will have to be a Patriots helmet.

Yes. I have been a victim of TV grump buckets. I'm from NE so I don't generally..."go gently into that goodnight"

They are Russian, always in a hurry.

The OP stated that she was in the store for two hours working with the sales associate, have to ask, were there other sales associates who were available to help the other customers? As A person who uses manners, I may have lost my patience waiting for the sales person to help me if one customer had them tied up for two hours. Just saying!

One said "HEY, where do I get the touch up craft paint"? The other woman walked in, put her purse on the framing counter practically dumping it on one of my paintings, announced her name (will not repeat here) and said "I got a call my framing is ready". The 3rd woman just interrupted saying "when can I get some help with some framing"?.....I turned to the Sales Associate (while she apologized for the interruptions to me)......

If you tied up a sales associate for 2 hours shopping for frames, maybe someone needs to look in the mirror when talking manners. Not often, but I agree with Pammy on this one.

I wonder how OP identified the interlopers as Villagers.

Unless I missed it, she did not say they were Villagers.

The OP says she spent two hours in the store, but she is not clear that she spent all of that time with an associate. In fact, if she had, only three interruptions might not have been remarked upon at all.

Why not give her the benefit of the doubt? Her point was valid. Those that barged in were wrong and rude. First come, first served.

You missed it because the OP edited her title and removed "Villagers."

On a similar note, one of my pet peeves is when I am at The counter to pay for merchandise and the clerk takes a call and stays on it for any time. I made the effort to come to the store and buy their goods and the person on the phone is often comparison shopping, or worse, it's a personal call. The clerk should politely say "please hold for a moment while I finish waiting on this customer," but they almost never do.

Reread my post. I said "IF" the OP tied up a sales associate for two hours. I believe I was giving the benefit of doubt.
