Hubby and I are planning a road trip to visit Sawgrass and I'm looking forward to it.

I prefer restaurants that don't attract the cheapskates that loudly complain about their meal after eating it hoping for a free dessert.

Last Sunday, I had a juicy hamburger there. About an hour later I had diarrhea. I know, more information than you need to know.

I don't think people are cheapskates. The food is pretty expensive for what you get and it's probably to pay the staff more money since they were and are having trouble getting people to work there. Sawgrass market isn't very busy these days. Lot's of people are going to check it out then not coming back. When they have music things will pick up.

It is not a square, that will be at Eastport in a couple of years.

Doesn't mean it came from the burger, bet you touched plenty of things between washing or sanitizing your hands and handling the bun including whatever you paid with the counter a chair a table, condiments, etc., etc., could have been just about anything that came in contact with someone.

And they are the biggest tenant!

Most, if not all, food poisonings manifest in a lot more time than 1 hour and usually affect all others who had the same food or food was handled by the same person at the resaurant who was sick,

Both the burger and pizza joints were closed today, and plenty of seats at the bar, during Happy Hour no less.

Went last Saturday and the pizza and burger places were closed. Someone told me they had some misunderstanding with some inspection paper work.

Since you don't live in The Villages, then you will not be tempted to go back.

Have you actually been in there?
I'd say previous statement about 1/2 of the shops being open is more than correct.
Burger joint - closed down.
Pizza joint - closed down.
Butcher - Not even close to open.
Several other shop slots - empty/closed.
Was informed by a worker at one shop (which shall go un-named) that they doubt the pizza & burger joints were going to ever open.
Few people wondering around, they also seemed to be curious why so much was still not up running.

Center bar, Sweet shop, Veggie market & the Golf shop (horrible customer service) were the only places operating when we dropped in for a bite to eat last weekend.
Left disappointed & hungry. Probably wont go back anytime soon...

When we went for the first time open were the pizza shop, hamburger place, sweet store, Villages Grow, the bar and whatever is next to the Villages Grow store. If they have since had a problem with permits not much anyone can do about it until they resolve the problem

I bet it’s all figured out by snowbird season.
