We saw them for sale in Walgreens at Lake Deaton Plaza.

why does one need to "wear a mask" to check their mail boxes? It is not like there are hundreds of people there. It is in the open and not an enclosed room.

I'm a huge proponent of mask wearing INDOORS when social distancing is not guaranteed. I do NOT wear a mask outdoors when social distancing is very easily maintained.

Picking up mail at the mail center is one of those places I never wear a mask. If someone comes up behind in close proximity to me, I still don't worry because it is outdoors and the "interaction" lasts less than 15 seconds. That is hardly enough time to be worried about virus being transmitted to me or vice versa.

Yes and I do the same to protect you- the person I don’t know.

My husband and I are immune compromised- so we have always been careful and wear masks now. But when we ride together I. Golf cart never being near anyone else - no we don’t wear masks. Same in car. It’s just us always.

When we go outside we stay a MINIMUM of 6ft from others.
We wash our hands and use sanitizer often. Including the bottles.
We still sterilize all things coming into our house. Including mail.
We have UV units inside our house for things that can’t be washed.
BTW. Your phones need it too.
And don’t forget the dryer for material things to sterilize.

Everything has a purpose and nothing is 100%. But everything is an aide so why not do the best you can!?! ... Including social distancing.

Just to let you know..........There is a difference between sterilization and sanitizing.

This is what I think they think.........

I'm not going to be told what to do by anyone.

Our president does not endorse wearing a mask so I won't.

I'm healthy. I won't get sick.

Look at those silly people with masks on. I'm not going to look silly like that.

I wasn't put on this earth to save your ass.

Amazon has LOTS of different masks to choose from.

Just to let everyone know.......masks that have valves in them do nothing to prevent virus laden droplets from getting into the air. When you exhale into a mask with a valve, your droplets go right out the valve into your surroundings where other people might be.

Hubby had a doctor's visit a couple of weeks ago. One requirement was for all their patients to wear masks. NO MASKS WITH VALVES are allowed in that office. They are smart!

We had to drive to NJ for an event this weekend against my better judgement but since it was for our granddaughter my wife insisted we be there. 4 days driving for 1 day there. Hated it. Was supposed to fly but cancelled that. In any case, 100% of the the people in every store we were in fromStarbucks to wawa to Wendy’s to supermarkets and party stores 100% were wearing masks and no one was b1tching or fighting or yelling tyranny over it. That’s one of the main reasons they are keeping their infection rates so low. Sure, it’s the law there but those in charge weren’t worrying about whose feelings they were going to hurt. Our luck we’ll pick it up in “free” SC or NC or Georgia or back home where those in charge need to grow a pair of big ones and do what’s right.

Edit. Not word one anywhere in NJ about the quarantine rule for those from FL. Not a single electronic highway sign mentioned it. We’re only here less than 36 hrs so it wouldn’t have mattered anyway. Maybe it will be posted on the way back.

Not a major voting block. I believe every politician weighs everything they say or do based solely on impact on their re-election.....

(my opinion).

We need to do that here we can't drag this out for years and years living in fear. Yes 2.3 million will die but that's only .00655 of our population. And one good thing about the Chinese coronavirus it mainly kills the sick and the old where the Spanish flu killed people of all ages.

So you are volunteering to go into the hospital ICU with the infected and be infected? :coolsmiley: It is always great when people will put themselves out there for humanity. Please let us know if you survive and about the experience.:clap2:

The Spanish Flu killed 500 million people world wide it didn’t stop till summer of 1919 , but even back then there were instances of some cities shutting bars and restaurants don’t and having much less cases then other cities of same size . It’s beyond comprehension to say that we should just all open ourself to infection when instead we just take some precautions now and let modern science solve this plague

Most dangerous area in villages? Postal stations between hours of 3PM and 6:30PM.

That number needs dividing by 10.
