Default Master bathtub

We’re moving into a home with a lovely shower off the master bath. Plus, there is a guest bath with a tub. However, love the convenience of a bath off of the master bedroom. Just wondering if anyone has ever added a tub to their master bath shower area without major renovation?

No idea what style home you are looking at, but for ours there is not enough room to have a conventional tub also installed. It might be possible to have a 'walk-in' type tub installed if the correct size can be found. IMHO, measure your existing shower area, then do a search on walk-in tubs and see if there is anything close in size. I am sure this will still be a major renovation. The floor in the walk-in shower is sloped for drainage, the actual drain will probably not be in the correct location, the water pipes may need to be altered, especially if the new tub has water jets.
You might want to check if matching tile is still available for the house as you may need some.
Good luck with your project.
