Larry the Alligator from the Villages... - Gatorland Orlando There's Larry, in Gatorland. There's the sign, on the fence at Gatorland. Larry is alive and well, in the company of over a hundred other gators, with plenty of wildlife for his entertainment and dining pleasure, in a MUCH larger environment than what he'd experienced as a result of being figuratively boxed in by Villages construction.

An animal like that can only eat so many guppies before it starts looking for a tasty Maltese, or grand-son, to whet his appetite.

I agree Jo Mar and I swear they said 800 pounds. I will not miss old Larry.

ATTENTION LARRY FANS - BIG NEWS:

All, Larry was relocated yesterday to Gatorland in Orlando.
I know this is upsetting to many of you but now Larry is Safe! Larry's fame (thanks to all of you) is what saved his life. Alligator's over 4 feet are never "Relocated" they are euthanized. Larry's popularity makes him special to all of us and he was accepted at Gatorland and released this morning and due to outages on Facebook we could not get in touch with each other until this afternoon.
This is from the Facebook "Larry the Alligator" page. Larry the Alligator from the Villages... - Gatorland Orlando

Ornery Alligator Cuts Off Traffic (poke here)

Quote:
A Florida woman had to make a quick stop when an alligator ran out in front of her while she was driving.

Cassy Hall said she was on her way to Marco Island when the alligator crossed the road on U.S. 41. near 951 and Verona Walk Boulevard.

"It's scared me so bad! It was hissing at me as it was passing," she told FOX 13.

It appeared that traffic in all lanes of the road stopped for the alligator as it made its way to the other side.
